…someone said, ‘Oh, well, 2007 is almost over. The new year can only get better. This past year really sucked’.

And I responded, ‘I really think 2007 was a beautiful year and I’m not sure how much better 2008 can get. I got married to the love of my life, my sister got engaged and we became dog parents. For me, this year was the best year of my life so far.’

Obviously, God has more amazing things for our little family in store but I just want to be thankful for the gifts He gave me all through the year 2007.

Have a very Merry Christmas!

Paul and I have joined the club of crazy dog owners and have created Griffin’s very own diary (at the bottom of his website). ;-)

Christmas Time is Coming! December 11, 2007

Filed under: Griffin, Home — Paul @ 9:17 pm

It’s Christmas time soon! This year, we’re not so prepared in the traditional sense of Christmas. We have yet to decorate, there’s no tree, the only presents we’ve bought are because we were out shopping for other things. This year we’re staying home due to our recent escapades around the world having left us with precious few PTO (vacation) days that we’d rather spend on Meike and Robert’s wedding next year. We’re looking forward to spending Christmas at home, though, so that’s not really a problem. But there’s another reason that we’ve yet to run our Christmas shopping spree.

Why is that? Because less than a week ago, we’ve brought home this bundle of joy:

CIMG0688

We mostly only hear of Joy being a part of Christmas in songs and on our wrapping paper. But we’ve managed to bring in a whole lotta what Christmas is meant to be about all in one package. His name is Griffin, and he’s love, joy, peace, kindness and every other bit of goodness you’d find in no other Christmas decoration. With a bit of the Griffster, who needs a tree? :)

Coincidentally, we’re looking for a puppy-sitter next week so we can have a few hours to do some shopping and pick up a tree. :)
