Wiebke and Paul

The person who masters love, masters life.

Congratulations To Mrs. And Mr. Norris! January 24, 2007

Our friends Nicole and Andrew tied the knot in December 2006 on a sunny day in Australia.

While Paul and I first planned to fly out to OZ to join them on their wedding day, we had to change plans due to our own wedding plans (there’s a lot of ‘wedding’ and ‘planning’ in this one phrase…).

We were bummed that we couldn’t be there on Nicole’s and Andrew’s special day. But the photo says it all: two people made for each other, now happily married. And, doesn’t the Bride look absolutely stunning??

We can’t wait to finally post OUR wedding picture here!

Nicole & Andrew, may your marriage be blessed with joy, peace and love!

I love our pictures together! :)

We’ve been learning a lot about each other through the small things. The REALLY important things were easy enough for us to listen carefully to each other and agree upon. It’s the small stuff that gets us heated up! But through the process we’ve learned more about each other and have really opened up our hearts and have fallen even more in love. It’s better finding out WHY Wiebke wants a certain couch rather than WHAT sort of couch she wants. I guess that when you’re in love, it’s the little things that count!

Low Pulp Or No Pulp?

Filed under: Home, Love — Wiebke @ 2:17 pm

Ok, I am slowly figuring this all out: Paul wants dark furniture, I want white furniture. I like beachy-surfer style interior, Paul likes Art Deco stuff. I like milk in my coffee, Paul likes flavored coffee whitener. Paul likes Bjork, I like Robbie Williams. Paul doesn’t like onions, I don’t like olives.

Paul likes orange juice with pulp, I don’t.

But: I love Paul. And Paul loves me. And that’s why I will go grocery shopping tonight and get a HUGE container of orange juice with pulp! And maybe some olives…

It’s all about compromising. Right, honey? ;-)

The Hottest Drummer In The World… January 7, 2007

…is certainly Paul. However, I saw this cool dude at Café Du Nord the other night and he wasn’t bad either.

This blog comes kinda late but I’m still so excited about this event that I have to tell you about this: Mick, Sarah, Paul and I went to see Taylor Hawkins And The Coattail Riders. I mean Taylor Hawkins, the drummer of the Foo Fighters, the best band on the planet. Since I moved to the States, I saw the Foos twice already: at Oakland Arena, a pretty big stadium and a more intimate acoustic set in Berkeley. By the way, did you know that Dave Grohl is actually hilarious? That dude cracks me up. Anyways, this is about Taylor. So, it costs you about $50 to see a band like the Foo Fighters. And, most likely you don’t get to be anywhere near the stage at their shows. Not so much this time. Café Du Nord is one of my favorite venues in the city. It’s small but not tiny, the sound is good and: you can actually SEE the band that plays.
He was right there in front of us, belting his heart out and drumming like there was no morning. And all that, just inches away from me (but I think I said that already) and for $13!

Mick is a HUGE Taylor fan, too. I have yet to confess to him that the photos I took that night are bad, really bad. Sorry, Mick. I suppose, we’ll have to catch one of their West Coast gigs again soon.

Now go and check out the track ‘You Drive Me Insane’ on MySpace.

Drummers are cool!
